Convene the local ecosystem
Regular sessions where founders, investors and operators in the market actually meet each other — with intent rather than open networking.
Chapters
A global ecosystem that is not local anywhere is just a website. Chapters are how ISAMEA becomes real in a specific city, with specific people, solving specific problems.
What a chapter is
An ISAMEA chapter is a community of founders, investors, operators, corporates and institutions in one market, led by a Chapter President. It does two things at once: it strengthens the local ecosystem, and it acts as the entry point for companies and capital arriving from the other two regions.
That second function is what distinguishes a chapter from a local meetup. When a company from Mumbai wants to test Nairobi, or a fund in Dubai wants context on Jakarta, the chapter is where that conversation starts.
What chapters do
Regular sessions where founders, investors and operators in the market actually meet each other — with intent rather than open networking.
Identifying and vouching for people worth having inside the network. Quality is a local responsibility.
Supporting businesses entering the market with context, introductions and honest guidance.
Feeding funding calls, corporate challenges, tenders and partnership demand into the wider ecosystem.
Being the credible voice on what is actually happening locally, for the rest of the ecosystem.
Helping local companies reach the other two regions — capital, partners, customers and markets.
Chapter development
Someone with standing in the market proposes a chapter and explains what they would build.
We review the market, the network already around the applicant, and the realistic demand for a chapter there.
Often a Global Ambassador period first — first relationships, first sessions, evidence of appetite.
With demonstrated traction, the chapter is formally established under a Chapter President.
Regular convenings, member onboarding, opportunity flow and quarterly reporting.
The chapter connects into the other regions: inbound support, outbound introductions and joint sessions.
Where chapters make sense
Propose a chapter, or apply as a Global Ambassador if a chapter does not exist yet.
