ISAMEA Match

THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY STARTS WITH THE RIGHT CONNECTION.

Networking produces volume. Matching produces relevance. Match exists because the difference between the two is usually a year of wasted effort.

Why matching

An introduction without context is just an email.

Most introductions fail because neither side knows why they are speaking. The founder pitches broadly, the investor listens politely, and both conclude the other was a poor use of an hour.

Match works differently. Both sides are understood first — mandate, stage, sector, market, constraints and what a good outcome looks like. Only then is a connection proposed, with a clear stated reason.

Fewer conversations. Considerably better ones.

Match types

Five connections that change trajectories.

Capital

Founder ↔ Investor

Matched on sector, stage, cheque size, geography and thesis — with the founder prepared for the questions a cross-regional investor will actually ask.

Commercial

Startup ↔ Corporate

Solutions matched to specific corporate challenges, procurement realities and pilot appetite, rather than a general innovation showcase.

Growth

Business ↔ Partner

Distributors, resellers, integrators and joint-venture partners screened for real capability and aligned incentive.

Expansion

Company ↔ Market

Matching a company to the market where its offering, price point and model realistically fit — sometimes not the market it assumed.

Guidance

Founder ↔ Mentor

Operators who have solved your specific problem in your specific market, matched for recurring engagement.

Institutional

Institution ↔ Ecosystem

Accelerators, chambers and universities connected to counterpart bodies and communities in the other two regions.

How it works

A four-step matching process.

  1. 01

    Profile & intent

You define what you are looking for and — equally important — what you are not.

  2. 02

    Ecosystem screening

We screen against the network across all three regions, filtering for genuine fit rather than availability.

  3. 03

    Double opt-in

Both sides see the rationale and agree before any introduction is made. No cold forwarding.

  4. 04

    Follow-through

We check what happened. Outcomes feed back into future matching so relevance improves over time.

Questions

What Match does and doesn't do.

Is this an automated platform?

Matching is human-reviewed. Ecosystem data helps us screen, but every proposed connection is judged by someone who understands both sides.

How many matches will I get?

There is no quota. A small number of well-founded connections is the goal; volume is a sign the filter is broken.

Do you guarantee outcomes?

No. Match creates relevant, context-rich connections. What happens in the relationship is between the two parties.

Who can use Match?

Match is available to ISAMEA members and to participants in Incubation and Market Access engagements.

One right connection is worth a hundred introductions.
